Daniel H. Pineda is an artist, curator and researcher. He studied Fine Arts (2014-1019) and Master in Crossdisciplinary Strategies (2021-2024) at the University of applied Arts in Vienna and did exchange studies at UMPRUM in Prague as well as in The Taipei National Universtiy of the Arts. He is involved in an array of local as well as trans-national and trans-disciplinary projects that range from research groups and artist run spaces to experimental theory and performance networks. Daniel operates mostly in and as adO/Aptive a flexible assemblage with ever-changing members that foments critical thinking, potential action, communication and multiple perspectives through performative adaptions. He has curated exhibitions for the Kunsthalle Exnergasse, the Czech Cultural Centre, Charim Galerie & clubclub (Vienna), The Centre For Experimental Theater and The Brno House of Arts (Brno), Galerie UM, City Surfer Office, Karpuchina Gallery and Holesovice Sachta (Prague), Studio of Young Artists' Association (Budapest), The Raft museum in Weyer (upper Austria) and ANOTHER GALLERY (Mexico City)
He presented his work at the Vienna Secession, Zentrum Fokus Forschung, Megaworld Festival, school, Sala Terrena, sussudio, Contemporary Matters Studio, Never at Home,
Alienze & Schleifmühlgasse 12-14 (Vienna), Salzburger Kunstverein (Salzburg), Prague Micro Festival, Uroboros Festival, Gallery 35m2, Meetfactory & NTK Gallery (Prague) Trafo & MÜTO (Budapest), Elektron (Tallin), Treize and the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris-Cergy (Paris), ANOTHER GALLERY (New York) as well as in the National University of Arts in Taipei and Potestas Creative (Miaoli)
Daniel has organised Symposiums and discursive programs for the OFF-Biennale (Budapest), Wiener Festwochen, Tanzquartier, the Department of Architechture of the Academy of Fine Arts, school & nadalokal (Vienna). Besides, since 2019 Daniel organizes a bi-annual performance residency with Iris Fabre. It has taken place in Le Valle de Chalevange (FR), St. Pol de Mar (SP) and Gresten (AT).
He has visited residencies at the Brno House of Arts (Brno), Pragovka (Prague) and ARIA (Ljubljana) and has published text for Magma Maria (Frankfurt), artportal (Budapest), Psi Vino (Prague), Šum Journal (Ljubljana), Contemporary Matters (Vienna)
He has collaborated with artists like Borsos Lörinc and Amanda Pina and worked at institutions as school, das weisse haus and the Austrian Cultural Forum in Budapest. He has assisted the productions of projects at the Ars Electronica Festival and the Donaufestival in 2024.
